Sentences grouped together form a paragraph. All About Me Students create an outline for a paragraph about themselves. In the body paragraphs, you have to provide the right supporting arguments to your thesis. When you write an argumentative paragraph, the primary purpose is to convince your readers that your argument is valid. Therefore, your argument should answer the question “why” in your topic sentence. As I roam the web, I've been making note of new releases that look promising and actually writing the titles down instead of trusting to notoriously poor memory. Students sort the cards and then must write their own main idea sentence. As you become more advanced in your writing skills, you will begin to use more advanced writing structures such as compound and complex sentences.
